Waymon Saffo received his formal education from the Rockdale County Public School System, where he graduated from the J.P. Carr School. He was a member of Peeks Chapel Baptist Church in Conyers, GA. Waymon Saffo met Shirley Webb in 1967. It was love at first sight. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Shirley on June 29, 1969. They were a true example of the phrase, "two shall become one". Waymon Saffo worked at Gibson-Holmes for over 30 years as a machine operator and Papa's Country Buffet for over 17 years. When Waymon wasn't working, he was watching baseball especially the Atlanta Braves and listening to gospel music. As matter of fact, he used to sing in a gospel quartet many years ago. Waymon had a unique sense of humor and could put a smile on anyone's face with his calm, gentle, and humble demeanor. You could always count on him to support the kid's activities, school and sporting events. Waymon was very much a family man. Waymon Saffo affectionately loved by all was a wonderful man and loving husband.
