Tom E. Swift's Obituary
Mr. Tom Edward Swift was born on July 28, 1952, to the late Annie Sue and Willie Frank Swift, Sr. Tom dedicated his life to Christ and joined Bald Rock Baptist Church at an early age where he served and sang in the choir/ choruses and the Christian Aires. Tom was educated in the Rockdale County School System. After graduating from Rockdale County High School in 1972, he joined the United States Army. Upon returning to Conyers, he suffered a debilitating work-related injury to his right arm that severely limited his use of that limb for employment purposes. Despite physical impairment he went onto work for Mrs. Winners as a cook and later manager until he retired and later worked at Goodwill Industries Donation Center in Conyers to keep busy. He met no strangers and had a big heart of gold. Tom was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Charaletta (Elliott) Swift. Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Pittard, Luther Swift, Florence Connor, and Willie Frank Swift. Tom leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 45 years, Charaletta Swift; children, Janice (Vernon) Bell, Tamara (Karl) Parmer, Jowana (Charlie, Jr.) Robinson, Seneath (aka Tae Tae); grand-children (Ahmad, AhKeriya (Tavorris) Weaver, Christian, Malachia, Aliyah, Cayden, Kingston, Avery, and Tristan), siblings, Annie Harris, Mattie Jones, Sylvester Swift, Lucille Smith, Spencer (Janice) King; aunts, Ethel Lester, Mary Marion, Clara (Morris) Troutman, Charlotte Swift; in laws, Phyllis Swift, Rev.
