Funeral for Mr. Terry Gober will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 5, 2016 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. 1053 Stephenson Rd. Stone Mountain, Ga. Viewing Friday March 4,2016 12:00-8:00 p.m. TERRY GOBER Was born in Monroe, Ga on June 12, 1954 to Mr. Alonzo Gober Sr. (deceased) and Janie Mae (Smith) Gober. He radiated love and made a positive impact to many, many lives. TERRY dedicated his life to Jehovah in July of 1975 and served as a faithful servant for 41 years until his death. He served as an Elder, Coordinator for Central Conyers congregation body of elders, and Pioneer. He served with The department of RBC committee in plumbing and natural gas. He also helped in aiding and teaching many honest hearted ones about the truth. No one who met Terry forgot his infectious passion and love for the truth. He treasured teaching and sharing the kingdom message with everyone. Terry was a man of few words, but when he spoke he always spoke with value and made a positive influence with his wisdom and knowledge of the bible. TERRY attended Monroe Area Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1972. He was a hard worker; he started his career as a Supervisor at Universal Corporate China Company, then worked for Walton Mills as a Mechanic. He moved on to his final career with the Atlanta Gas Light Company as a Distribution Crewman, and Retired March 3, 2014 as a Field Service Specialist. Terry focused on providing superior customer service and developing new employees at all levels passing along his vast knowledge of natural gas business and selflessly training his peers with honesty and willingness to help them succeed. TERRY met the love of his life Kaye Michelle Curry and later married on May 1st, 1976. He and Michelle were blessed with two children from their union. For over 41 years his worthiness showed up in everything and everyone he touched. TERRY was best described by his family and friends as a man of great worth. He was generous, loving, humble, kind, supportive, honest hearted, and a great worker. He was always willing to give and help at any given time. He loved traveling especially with his wife, enjoyed listening to jazz music, serving Jehovah and spending time with family and friends. He was an outstanding father, husband and was my best friend (Michelle). TERRY is survived by his wife of 40 years Kaye Michelle Gober. He leaves a legacy of love to his three children Gerry Darnell Riggins (son), Terry Lenar Gober (son) Veneka Daughter April Michelle Gober. Siblings: Lonnie J Byrd (Linda), Alonzo Gober, Jr. (Olinda), Effren D Gober and Jurnice Gober. Four Grandsons Kendrick Riggins, Jordan Gober, Jayson Gober, Joshua Gober and one Granddaughter Hana Sorrells, and a host of nieces and nephews.
