Stanford Lee Jordan was born on April 3, 1956 in Newell, Alabama. He departed this life on April 25, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was proceeded in death by his parents Ned and Elizabeth Maffett (both deceased).
Stanford was the third of eight siblings: Charlie Ray Jordan; Barbara Maffett (deceased); Gurisha Maffet; Alonzo Maffett (deceased); Clarence Maffett; John (Latrice) Maffett; and Chris Maffett. He is survived by his wife of over forty years Sylvia Jordan, his four children Michael (Tracy) Nunn, Natasha Jordan (deceased), Shanveta (Franandroe) Bailey, and Markita Jordan. In addition to his children, Stanford leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, special friends, and loved ones.
In life, Stanford was the life of the party. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and bragging about his family. He was hardworking and always a believer in punctuality. He was a longtime employee of Ace Hardware and he was the unofficial store manager-Stan the Man. He loved to laugh and was a master storyteller. At the time of his passing, he resided with his favorite Auntie Ann who loved him and took care of him like her own son. His unconventional sense of humor will truly be missed.
