Shirley Bell Loyal's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Bell Loyal, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Theodis (Everlene) Bell, was born June 1947 in Newton County. Shirley gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. church in Covington, GA. She also took great pride in fulfilling her duties as a Sunday school teacher and member of the Mother Board at Evergreen Baptist Church in Decatur, GA where she served faithfully until God called her home on August 4, 2017. Shirley was educated in the Newton County school system. She began her career at C&S bank in Atlanta, GA, serving in various capacities for 33 years. After retiring from the bank, she dedicated another 10 years of service in the City of Atlanta 's Housing Department.. On June 18, 1966, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Henry Loyal, Sr. and spent 51 years as a devoted wife. To this union, four children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories, devoted husband, Rev. Henry Loyal, Sr. ;children: Mr. Henry (LaNedra) Loyal, Jr., Mr. Brian (Chantelle) Loyal, Mr. Jeremy Loyal and Mr. Corey Loyal; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: Mr. Theodis (Curtiss) Bell, Jr. and Mr. Charles (Sheryl) Hardeman; five sisters: Mrs. Betty (Eddie) Manuel (preceded in death), Ms. Belinda Bell, Ms. Emma Walker, Ms. Leola Bell, and Ms. Cynthia Bell; one aunt: Mrs. Leila Ball; five sisters-in-law: Mrs. Curtiss Bell, Mrs. Charlie Mae Loyal, Mrs. Leona Carr, Ms. Frances Bates and Mrs. Sheryl Hardeman; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
