Samuel Tate's Obituary
Samuel Irvin Tate, affectionately known as Skeeter, was born on October 10, 1954, in Newton County to Frances Tate and the late Willie Norman Tate. On Thursday, July 16, 2026, GOD whispered well done and carried our beloved Skeeter home. Skeeter grew up in Covington, Georgia and was educated in the Newton County Public School System. At an early age he joined Rock Spring Baptist Church. Skeeter was known as being a meat processor and a butcher. He had a passion for caring for others, preparing and processing livestock and lastly collecting coins. Skeeter is proceeded in death by his father- Willie Norman Tate. Siblings: Harvey L. Brown, Herman Tate, Pamela Taylor. Skeeter leaves to cherish his memories: Mother; Frances Tate; Children; Shawona (Michael) Williams, Erika (Andre) Hargrove, Latridra (Greg) Forte, Brittany White, Alexus Tate, Ali Floyd, Malik Floyd. Grandchildren: Sade, Sean, Jacqise, Andre, Shane, Jr, Anthony, Jayceon, Makayla, Kennedi, Jasiah, Zyana, Jocelynn and Elijah. Sister: Jenifer McKibben: Brothers; Willie (Bertha) Tate, Timmy Tate. Aunt: Linda Powell and Patricia Terrell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
