A time to plant - In the year 1941, Rosa Lee Benton was joined in marriage to John Henry Dardy and began a long lasting legacy as Rosa Lee Dardy.
A time to embrace - Rosa Lee found Jesus at an early age and joined Springfield Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member.
A time to weep, a time to mourn - She was preceded in death by her loving parents Otis and Ida Benton, her husband, John Henry Dardy and two sisters Lena Mae Green and Dorothy Mae Williams.
A time to laugh; a time to dance - To their union, Rosa Lee and John Henry had nine children; (Johnnie Lee and (Bennett) Smith, Robert and (Mary) Dardy, Willie Otis and (Josephine) Dardy, Ida Heard, Fannie and (Michael) Wilcoxson, Malcom and (Delissa) Dardy, Mikers Franklin (Stella), Kenneth and (Cheryl) Dardy, Colletta and (Johnny) Mathis, Sandra Dardy; 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren.
A time to heal - Other than her natural children, she was a mother to many. She provided healing and a strong loving foundation to those who needed it. She was definitely a mother to the motherless.
A time to build up - She was a great confidant, providing counsel and comfort to those who were hurting and in need. She also hosted many social gatherings and enjoyed being with family and friends. She was also a great cook, making many delicious items that were food to the soul.
A time to sew - She was known as a wonderful seamstress, creating and making garments that were beautiful and amazing.
A time for PEACE - Rosa Lee Dardy found her peace on June 23, 2018 as she left her earthly body and went to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
