Robert Louis Quattlebaum's Obituary
Robert L. Quattlebaum, age 83 departed this earthly realm on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Robert, along with his wife Ruth lived in Conyers, GA at the time of his death.
Robert was born and raised in Ridge Spring, SC on June 04, 1935 to his parents (Sally Lou, and Charlton Quattlebaum). He also had one brother (Griffin) and six sisters; five of whom proceeded him in death (Lucille, Mary, Gladys, Anna, and Gertrude). His surviving sister (Margaret) currently resides in NY. Robert also leaves behind a host of sister and brother-in-laws.
While in residing in Ridge Springs, Robert met and married his wife Ruth Elizabeth Johnson of 63 years. The two eventually relocated to Brooklyn, NY and started a loving family that included 3 boys Reginald (Deceased), Darin, Anthony and 3 girls Charlene (Deceased), Sevena, and Tracy. He also has a daughter Diane Kelly from a prior relationship, a daughter-in-law Brenda of North Carolina, and son-in law Joe of GA. In addition to his immediate family, Robert leaves behind grandsons: Antione, Terrance, Sebastian, Anthony, Chanda, and Torry; along with granddaughters Sevena, Shaniqua, Tiara, Sherry, Simone and Jamielle, and a host of Great grand's, Nieces, and Nephews.
Robert was a long-time employee of the New York City Housing Authority, as well as a New York City cab driver. He also belonged to Mount Joy Baptist Church of Brooklyn, NY. He loved fishing, shooting pool, and watching old western movies.
