Robert Aiken Moore Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Aiken Moore, Jr. (lovingly known as Fella Moe) was born on November 24, 1951, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He transitioned from this life on June 8, 2019, at Pruitt Healthcare in Decatur, Ga. He was a loving man, a great big brother, and a wonderful father to his five girls, who were the apples of his eye. Robert Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Aiken Moore and Lucy Florence Bell Moore.
Robert Jr. grew up in Conyers, Ga. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ into his life. While he began his education at the J. P. Carr School, he graduated from the newly-integrated Rockdale County High School. At Rockdale High he was a member of the school marching band. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served from 1971 to 1976 - part of the time in Taiwan. After his service to our country, Robert Jr. studied heating and air conditioning in Florida and later obtained his commercial driver's license at A-1 Driving School in Conyers. He enjoyed driving trucks and traveling until he retired.
Robert Jr. was the second of nine children: Ann (John) Jenkins, Arthur (Ola Mae) Moore, Larry (Elaine) Moore, Bill (Carla) Moore, Karen Moore, Sharon Moore, Darren Moore (deceased) and Kendrix Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters: Natalie Norwood, Kalynda Moore, Summer Moore, Ashley (Jimmy) Rucker and Amber Moore; and nine grandchildren: Jermaine Norwood, A'Lyric Moore, Alexis Norwood, Charisma Shotaro, Chance Peacock, Alijah Moore, Suhmori Towler, Carter Moore and Zahra Rucker. The stork will soon be delivering a tenth grandchild, Stormeigh Jackson.
He also leaves behind the love of his life, Eleanor Penn, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
