Richard L. Sidwell peacefully passed away at his resident in Rockdale County
During the early sunrise on Tuesday July 30, 2019.
He is the son of his surviving mother Mamie Sidwell and his father Lester Sidwell, may he rest in peace as well. Richard was a loving sibling to his only sister Fannie sidwell and host of brothers Ralph Sidwell, WC Sidwell, Barry Sidwell, and Howard Sidwell. He's a loving uncle to so many wonderful nieces and nephews that he loved so much as if they were his own. Richard was also a father figure to his niece Mimi that he helped raise with his parents since the day she was born. "What a blessing".
Richard is a graduate of J.P. Carr High School and Morris Brown College.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy at an early age of eighteen. He received an honorable discharge and varies defense and combat medals. He begins his career with Department of Correction, later moved on as a respectable probation officer for twenty-five years. Loyal and dedicated years Richard assisted Mentored hundreds of offenders in Rockdale County and worked delicately to keep Rockdale County safe.
He was a faithful, active member of The Community Bible Chapel, under the leadership of Pastor Clifford Ice. Richard was a Deacon, Church treasure, usher member, leader of the youth program, God father to Nikia Martin, Best friend of Charles. Richard Sidwell was a faithful supporter of the different ministries active evangelism, single ministry and various Bible studies.
Richard Sidwell lived a meaningful life not only himself, but to many others. We were very grateful to have him in our life.
