Rev. Henry Ernest Loyal's Obituary
Reverend Henry Ernest Loyal entered into heaven's glory on December 20, 2018. Reverend Loyal's life can be summarized in two words: faithful and loving. He was best known for his love of the Lord, followed closely by his love for his wife, children, extended family, and his church family. Reverend Loyal's greatest desire was to share Christ's love with everyone he met. During his 50 year ministry, he prayed for and with thousands of people, believing and seeing God's touch in their lives.
On June 18, 1966, Reverend Loyal married the love of his life, Shirley, and they remained happily married for 51 years until Shirley's passing in 2017. To their union, four children were born.
Reverend Loyal considered himself blessed to have pastored for several years at Summer Hill Baptist Church, Oak Grove Baptist Church and Henderson Grove Baptist Church. Most recently, he faithfully served as Senior Pastor at Evergreen Baptist Church for 34 years.
Praising God for Reverend Loyal's life and cherishing his memories are his four sons: Mr. Henry (LaNedra) Loyal, Jr., Mr. Brian (Chantelle) Loyal, Mr. Jeremy Loyal and Mr. Corey Loyal; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding Reverend Loyal in death are his beloved wife, his parents (Simon and Olivia), and his four siblings.
