PIERRE W. BIGOT's Obituary
It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Pierre W. Bigot, affectionately known as "Pete," on January 1, 2025, at Grady Hospital. At 59 years old, Pete's remarkable life came to a peaceful close, surrounded by the family he cherished.
Pete was born on June 18, 1965, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. From his earliest days, he carried within him ambition, determination, and a deep love for family. Raised with strong values, he carried his go-getter spirit with him throughout his life, touching every life he encountered.
Pete attended Erasmus High School (New York) and Miami Jackson High School (Florida) and later studied at Barnabas Health, which set the foundation for a career dedicated to serving others. He worked as a Union Organizer for Local 174, an Emergency Medical Technician, and a Paramedic, always striving to make a meaningful difference in his community. Beyond his professional achievements, Pete was an active member of Emmanuel Haitian Church in Lithonia, where his faith guided him in all he did.
Pete was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for cooking and putting a good meal together in the kitchen, bringing joy to his family through his delicious meals. He also found joy in karate movies, which often filled the home with laughter and excitement as he did his own karate moves to entertain the family. Pete's favorite saying, "Excuses are for losers," and this became a family mantra, reminding everyone around him of the power of perseverance.
He was the pillar of his family, a loving husband to Daniella, and a devoted father to Avishy Nicolas, Christle Bigot, Marc'Henry Bigot, Perry'Elle Bigot, and Brittany Bigot. Pete's commitment to his family went beyond words; he took care of the cooking, cleaning, and created a warm and loving home. His siblings, Jean Bigot and Robert Bigot, along with countless extended family and friends, will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Pete was preceded in death by his beloved father, Joseph Bigot, and his brother, Marc Bigot. While their loss weighed heavily on him, he honored their memories by living a life full of purpose and love. Pete's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of ambition, family values, and community service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
