Mr. Petrie "Joe" Floyd, Jr, son of Petrie and Mary Floyd, Sr, was born on December 18, 1943 in Albany, GA. "Joe" grew up singing from a young age. After a short period of dating, they were united in holy matrimony in August 19,1967. To this union, six children were born and one preceded him in death (Bernard Floyd, Jr.). He and the family relocated to Conyers, GA in 1983. There he was employed as a production worker at Golden State Foods, from which he retired after years of dedicated service. During his time at Golden State Foods, he coached the men's industrial league basketball team and was the number one cheerleader for all of his children during their extracurricular activities.
