Patricia Ann Fernandez's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Ann Fernandez was born to the late Lonnie and Maggie Savage on January 03, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York where she was educated and reared.
Patricia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and her friends at Macy's and Dillard's loved her as well.
Patricia was well known for having a bright smile and big heart. She brightened every single person's heart that she encountered! She gave herself to others, sacrificed for others, and always thought about others.
She was blessed with a giver's heart. She gave to the point that she would go without to make someone else happy. She took whatever circumstance that came her way and never let it stop her from doing what she wanted to do!
She enjoyed and dedicated over 33 years of her life to helping children and their families, strengthening and providing them with a chance at a new beginning. She always encouraged them to make positive life changing decisions that would empower them to reach their destiny, despite their current circumstances. Patricia was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.
Patricia left us to join both of her parents, her brothers Ronnie Graham, Maurice Savage, and her sister Marie Alice Savage, and her husband Alexander Fernandez. Patricia leaves to treasure her memories: her children, Alexandria Fernandez, Duane Fernandez, Anthony Fernandez, Khahailh Fernandez, Blake Fernandez, and Raheime Fernandez; her siblings; Rufus Savage, Margaret Evans, Kevin Savage, Kim Savage, and Andrew Garner. Among the many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members, she held close relationships with special people gifted in marriage her brother-in-law Charles Evans, son-in-law Ronald Duckett, daughter-in-law Shandrea Fernandez. She leaves her treasured grandchildren, Mikayla Fernandez, Jay'Lynn Fernandez, Hunter Fernandez, Sidney Fernandez, Malachi Fernandez, Selena Fernandez, Jaedyn Fernandez, Brentyn Hardy, Felecia Walker, Gary Walker, Brianna Walker, Jahzara Fernandez, and Jolani Fernandez.
It would take many pages to fill all the names of those who loved Patricia Ann Fernandez and many pages to fill the lives she touched with joy, laughter, and good-will. She will be remembered graciously, quietly and thoughtfully. If we can leave but a small amount of joy she left to us to others, and if we could carry what lessons we've learned from her ability to maintain courage and determination in light of our struggles - then we would honor not just her memory, but the strength and resilience that runs through the Fernandez Family.
