Misty Chiandra Ward's Obituary
Misty Chiandra Ward was born May 25,1981 in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Tri-Cities High School in 1997. She gave birth to her only son, Jamari Calhoun, in January 2001. Misty gave her life to Christ at an early age. She joined Linked Up Church in 2013. Prior to that, she was a member of Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. Misty was the type of person who never met a stranger. Once she got to know you, you were family. She loved unconditionally. She was a very caring person. She would always pick up the phone and call and check on those she loved. If she wasn't calling, she would do a pop-up visit to make sure you were ok. She was always there for her loved ones, supporting them in whatever way she could. She was loving, kind-hearted, outgoing, and fiercely protective of those she loved. Misty lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling. Her favorite destination was Florida. In fact, she wanted to move there so she could be near the beach. When she wasn't traveling, she was spending time with family or friends. From childhood, Misty loved to sing. In kindergarten, she performed as Janet Jackson. A few years later, she auditioned for a musical but got scared and didn't sing loud enough. As an adult, she auditioned for American Idol. She also liked writing songs and acting. Misty was preceded in death by her mother, Gisele Holland, her bonus father, Davis Holland, her sisters, Tracey Holland, Tina Holland, and Kimberly Holland. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jamari Calhoun, her father, Odell Holmes, her sisters, Shunthea North (David), Aneshia Holland Robinson (Johnny), Paquita Holland, Alberta Holmes, Dominique Jackson, Sonya Moss, her brother, Matthew Holmes, her brothers-in-law Kenneth Whittaker, Homer Denson, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other friends and loved ones.
