Ms. Mary Ann McGurie was born on August 29, 1943 in Newton County, Ga to the late Jimmie Lee "Phat" Franklin and Mattie Ola McGuire. Mary Ann attended J.P. Carr Public school of Rockdale County,
Mary Ann later worked as a nursing Technician at Westbury Health & Rehabilitation Center of Conyers Ga, for 10 years of her life. In 1960 Mary Ann untied in Holy matrimony with the late Mr. Robert Lewis Redmon. From that union 5 children were born. Jeannette, Robert, Anthony, Laverene, and Michelle. Everyone that knew Mary Ann enjoyed her loving and caring spirit. She also had a passion for fashion, music, dancing, and traveling. She loved her family and friends very deeply, and would go out the way to lend a helping hand. On July 11, 2016 Mary Ann gained her wings and was called home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her father Jimmie L. Franklin, mother Mattie Ola McGuire, four brothers Jimmie Cleo, Jimmie Leo, Roosevelt, and Harold Franklin; two sisters Rosa Lee Height, Betty Ann Franklin. Mary Ann is survived by five children. Mrs. Jeannette (Greg) Coleman of Love Joy Ga, Robert Redmon of Conyers GA, Anthony Redmon of Clayton GA, Laverne Redmon of Decatur GA; Michelle (Keith) Redmon-Crawford of Clayton GA. Three sisters, Mattie Mae Simmons of Tacoma WA, Julia Franklin of Conyers GA, Bobbie Franklin of Madison GA. Five brothers Charlie Cobb of Oxford GA, Joe Lewis (Ann) Franklin of Decatur GA, Johnny (Mary) Franklin of Conyers GA, Jessie (Cheryl) Franklin of Decatur GA, Milers (Stella) Franklin of Social Circle GA. Two aunts, Sara Minor; Rosa Lee Dardy. A Special friend Willie Charles "Dubb" Yarn; 19 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
