It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Mark Anthony Holden. Mr. Holden received his wings on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Mark Anthony Holden was born November 25, 1960, to the late Mr. Lucious Holden, Jr and Mrs. Mary Ruth Holden in Atlanta, GA. He made his heavenly departure on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Mark was the fourth child born into the family. He was educated in the Rockdale County Public School System. As a child, Mark was a sports advocate playing baseball and football. During his junior high years, football was discovered to be his sport of choice. He attended high school at Heritage High School where he graduated in 1980. Mark was a standout football player and track team member.
After graduating high school, he began working with his father. That was a start to a career that would span for decades in the auto business. Mark worked in many capacities at several car dealerships in the local area and as a mechanic for many in the community until his health failed a few years ago. Mark enjoyed working on cars, football, and NASCAR Racing.
Mark wed Ranise Williams-Holden on January 1, 1992. To this union he gained a faithful son, Antwain Williams. Mark joined Pleasant Hill C.M. E. Church later in life where he served until his health started to decline. He was hoping to get stronger and return to church. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, Ranise Holden, sister, Doris Holden, brother, Dexter Holden.
Mark leaves to cherish his memories: loving son, Antwain (Jill) Williams; two sisters, Mrs. Mary (Gary) Moore and Ms. Marlene Holden; three grandchildren, Brooke Jordan, Teirah Williams and Halleigh D'Amico (Krista); six great grandchildren, four brothers-in-law, Mr. Christopher Mitchell, Mr. Harbonious Allen, (Conyers), Mr. Darryl Allen and Mr. John Allen (Detroit); One aunt and uncle, Rev. Edward and Betty Gaither (Ellenwood), nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
