Marjorie J. Bell's Obituary
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Marjorie J. Bell. Ms. Bell passed in Atlanta, Georgia on January 21, 2026.
Mrs. Marjorie Jones Bell was born March 15, 1935, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E Bell. From this union two daughters were born, Sunserai T. Bell and Toylanda E. Holland (Undrea).
She leaves two brothers, Houston L. Jones of Akron, Ohio and Jonathan L. Jones of California along with two sister-in-law’s, Carolyn Ann Bell-Turner of Georgia and Elizabeth Poueu Bell of California.
Marjorie leaves four grandchildren, Dontaye C. E. Bell II (Bettina), Uniq S. Collins, Rodney E. Christopher (Shainalyse) and Trey H. Christopher (Ayanna). She also leaves four great grandchildren, Dontaye C. Bell II, Zaire C. W. Bell, Syx Christopher, Milani Christopher and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjorie has been a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church since moving to Decatur Georgia in June 1979 from Akron, Ohio.
Mrs. Marjorie Bell was a member of Knights of Peter Claver Lady Auxiliary Court #313. She was also a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church choir and a member of St. Elizabeth Circle. In addition, she helped formulate the first Advent dance. Marjorie was very much involved in helping the homeless.
