It is with great sadness that we announce the great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Ludie Banks, Jr.
Mr. Ludie Banks, Jr. son of the late Mr. Ludie Banks Sr. and Nannie L. Banks was born in Rockdale County on March 29, 1945. He joined Bentley Hill United Methodist Church at an early age. He received his education in Henry County public schools. His remarkable skills and knowledge lead him his job at Mitchell Tire Company where he retired after 52 years.
Just as his loving wife, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the racetrack and taking annual trips to Florida with his children.
He has gained his heavenly wings and reunited with his beloved wife, Alberta Banks; son, Ludie Banks III (little Ludie); grandson, Cameron Cochran. Ludie is survived by his sons, Eugene Banks (Kenia), Phillip Banks, Minister Marvin Turner (Joyce); daughters, Monica Bailey, Wendy Cochran (Charles), Kimberly Clark (Adrian); brother, Perry Banks (Lisa); sister, Elizabeth Slaughter; aunties, Mammie Turner, Lucy Hamm (Lloyd); brother-in-law, Norris Harper and Charle Crumbly; sister-in-law, Geradine Jackson. He has 31 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
