Lucy Florence Moore's Obituary
Lucy Florence Moore was born on December 4, 1934 to the late Arthur and Bessie Bell in Palmetto Georgia. Lucy Moore departed this life peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2016 surrounded by her family. At an early age Lucy Moore moved to Conyers, Ga. and attended Bryant Street school, where she met Robert A Moore Sr. Lucy Moore married Robert Aiken Moore Sr. on March 12,1950, and they were married for 59 years. Unto this union nine children were born. Robert A. Moore Sr. and One son, Darren Leon Moore, preceded her in death. Lucy Moore joined Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her death. As she reached her latter years, her mobility became limited; Therefore, she worshiped God from home. Lucy Moore had various jobs over the years including housekeeping, doing laundry, and she worked as a seamstress until she retired due to health issues. Lucy was loved by many and among those who will always cherish her memory are: daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Jenkins (Ann); son, Mr. Robert A. Moore, Jr. (Fella); son, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee Moore (Ola);son, Mr. and Mrs. Larry J. Moore (Elaine); son, Mr and Mrs. William Keith Moore (Carla); daughter, Ms. Karen Denise Moore; daughter, Ms.Sharon Patrice Moore; and son, Mr. Don Kendrix Moore; brother in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Moore (Pearl); Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E.Moore ( Hattie); sister in laws, Mrs. Marion E Foster; and Ms. Carrie I.Taylor; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren,and 2 great great grandchildren. Lucy also leaves a host of nieces,nephews, relatives and dearest friends.
