Lloyd Linford Headley's Obituary
Lloyd Linford Headley son of late Hubert Headley and Ida Evans was born in Panama City, Panama on January 31st, 1944. He relocated to the Bay Area in California in September of 1974. He was part of the Dietary Team at Stanford Hospital since 1975 and was a dedicated employee for 27 years until he retired in 2002. Most recently, Lloyd relocated to Covington, GA in August of 2016. He has been a proud member of the Church of Christ since 1999. He was a God-fearing man and took pride in dressing up to go to church to serve God. Our dad was a quiet person but not when it came to the ladies! He loved flirting with all the nurses that cared for him. Lloyd was easy going and loved sports, especially the San Francisco 49rs, San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. He also enjoyed watching the Gameshow channel, amongst all the shows his favorite was Family Feud and Chain Reaction. You can say he was a great singer as well. Music was his love and once his passion. Back in the early 70's he was part of the Group called Soul Fantastic which originated in Panama. As a matter of fact, he had a solo with the Soul Fantastic called Peace and Love. He spent his pass time listening to old school music, his favorite group was the Stylistics. He dedicated himself unselfishly to servicing God, he was part of the Scan team at the Fremont Locale. He wanted to make sure all his children, friends and family learned about the church, and he encouraged each of his children to listen to the teachings. In September 2017, he was diagnosed with Prostate Sarcomatoid cancer which is a rare type of prostate cancer. Throughout his treatments and the prayerful support of many, he was brave, he fought hard and valiantly until the end to overcome this illness. God lifted him out of his pain and into his bosom of deliverance. Lloyd will be dearly missed as well as his memory cherished by his children: 4 Daughters, Jaqueline Farrell, Cyntia Rivas-Headley, Herica Headley-Allen, Natalia Sandifer; Daughter in Law, Marie Headley 2 Sons, Karl Headley and Antonio Headley. Grandchildren: Irina Ani, Anthony Headley, Christian Headley, Devaughn Allen, Devin Allen, Cheryl Rivas-Barrow, Rachel Simon, Ramon Rivas, Kimberlee Headley, Isaiah Sandifer, Xavier Sandifer, Solange Brinson, Natalie Quiroz, Shanaris Edwards, Great Grandchildren Clement Ani, Jr., Kalia Ani, Kayleen Simon, Jayden Brinson, Jason Brinson, Jordan, Brinson, Justin Brinson, Sebastian Cruz, Janira Cruz, His cousins/sisters, Loraine White and Marva Als and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins too many to mention, but nonetheless, very appreciated. "But he who endures to the end shall be saved." Matthew 24-13
