Juliana Carol St. Luce's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Juliana Carol St. Luce. Juliana passed on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Conyers, Georgia.
Juliana Carol St. Luce affectionately known as Dadat was born on February 16, 1946, to the proud parents of Clinton Edwards and Magnita Ferdinand in Castries, St. Lucia where she grew up.
In 1969, at the age of twenty-three, Dadat migrated to St. Croix, the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she lived most of her adult life. She was blessed with five biological children, one of which is deceased.
Subsequently, Dadat and her children eventually moved to the Bronx, New York, where they settled
In 2005, Dadat became a baptized member of the Beulah Seventh Day Adventist church in Mount Vernon, New York, where she made many new friends. She dedicated her life to service and became immersed in the Community Services Department of the Beulah SDA Church, where she faithfully served as a Deaconess. She also assisted in the pantry, providing for the community.
Dadat was a loving mother and grandmother who gave her grandchildren endearing names: Tramaine she called Maine; Junior was Jua; Joel, Jo Jo; Josef, Poppet; and she even had pet names for the adults. She also used words such as "jiggered" (when something was confusing to her) to express how she felt.
What's more, Dadat was no social butterfly, yet she touched many lives with her gentle spirit. She was also a praying woman of God, influencing those around her by having a consistent prayer life. If you were experiencing problems, she would encourage you to always pray.
She has left an unfillable void.
