Joseph Edward Moore I's Obituary
Joseph Edward Moore I, was born to the late Norman Moore Sr. and the late Ethel Mae Aiken Moore on July 23, 1943. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, June 23, 2022, in Conyers, GA. He was the grandson of the late: Otilia Amos Aiken, Robert Israel Aiken, Samuel A. Moore and Caroline Isabella Allison Moore.
Joseph was also preceded in death by his siblings: Mother Minnie Ola Shipp, Mother Marion Foster, Deacon Robert Aiken Moore, Deacon Norman Lee Moore, Jr., and Richard Henry Moore; brother-in-law, Willin Bernard Roberts; and Bonus son, Nelvin Tucker.
Joseph received his education at Bryant Street Elementary School and J.P. Carr High School, graduating in June 1961. He served his country in the United States Navy from July 1965 until August 1968.
Joseph joined the Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed with a variety of companies, including McLean Trucking, Rockdale Citizen and he retired from Kenco Logistics in 2008. Joseph loved God, his family, friends, cooking and grocery shopping.
On August 2, 2007, Joseph finally married his childhood sweetheart, Hattie Ruth Roberts. They spent the remainder of his life loving each other.
Joseph leaves to cherish wonderful memories: his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Hattie Ruth Roberts Moore; his children, Jocelyn Moore and Joseph Edward Moore II; Bonus children, William McFarlin, Jr. (Angela), Delansha Howard (Sonrayshaun), Horace Mosley, Micah Mitchell, Rita Thomas (Terry), Teresa Carr (Tony), and Wallace Elliott (Renee); grandson, Giovanni Nathanial Moore; Bonus granddaughter, LaTosha Usher (Michael); a multitude of other Bonus grandchildren & great grandchildren; brother, Samuel A. Moore, II (Pearl); sister, Carrie Taylor; sister-in-love, Pearlie Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends.
