Johnnie C Hillman's Obituary
Mr. Johnnie C. Hillman, was born August 11, 1935 in Hancock county. Johnnie was the third child of ten children born to Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hillman. He was brought up in a God fearing home and saved at an early age in Warren County.He met his future wife one summer day when she came shopping with her family in downtown Warrenton. As seventeen year old Rubie Cowins walked through the streets of Warrenton a strange boy kept following. Little did she know that strange boy had decided that she was the prettiest little thing he'd ever seen. She doesn't remember how it happened but not long after she became Mrs. Rubie P. Hillman. What a powerful thing God did by joining these two. the couple would go on to raise 6 children together. However, through this union so many more lives were touched. Johnnie was a hard worker and strong provider for his family. He became a Master Electrician by trade after years of being called to do work that other electricians could not complete. Though he was always the man called to the the job he was never offered the position, his lack of formal education was stated to be the reason. Johnnie decided he would no longer be denied. He went to school to get his degree all while working a full time job and providing for his family. He graduated within a year and could no longer be refused the position.After 25 years of working for large corporation he embarked on a new journey and became a business owner. He started Hillman's Building and Remolding not knowing he was sparking the spirit of entrepreneurship in the following generations.Johnnie truly loved his wife like god loves the church. If she asked he would do all within his power to provide. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many.Johnnie went home to glory on March21, 2018. he leaves behind his loving wife, Rubie Hillman, six children Mrs. Jackie(first born) Thomas Lane, Mr. Johnny(first son) Greta Hillman, Mrs. Renee Lewis, Mr Greg & Angela Hillman, Mr. Eric Hillman, Mr. Stephen (Jessica) Hillman, twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
