Jessie White's Obituary
On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, Jessie White, loving husband and step-father of one, passed away at the age of 86.
Jessie was born on December 25, 1933 in Conyers, GA to Genie White and Tiny May Evans. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sarah White, step-daughter Phyllis Dorsey, grandsons Mario and Ulantais Dorsey. As well as many great grandsons and daughters and nephews. He was a father and loving husband.
Jessie loved to work. Even after he was disabled in 1988, after his wife helped nurse him back to health, he still did odd jobs wherever he could to keep busy. Often he could be found tinkering with bikes for his grandsons and daughter or landscaping. Yet, he also loved to sit at home in his chair and watch wrestling or working on a book of crosswords. He was always there for his grandchildren who looked up to him as well as his great grandchildren who loved him just as much. He was wise and he loved to talk about his experiences growing up, the things that happened to him, and the numerous friends he knew who have long since passed as well.
He will be greatly missed.
The memorial service will be at George W. Levett and Sons Funeral Home in Conyers, GA at 11:00am Saturday January 04, 2020.
