Jerrie Butler's Obituary
Mother Jerrie Lee Butler aka "Tee Ninchy 99" was born Jerrie Lee Baker on October 16, 1922 to the late Eddie Baker and Ruby Sherwood in Conyers, Georgia. Mother Jerrie received her formal education in the Rockdale County School System.
Mother Jerrie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the 2nd Shady Grove Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia was she was a faithful member of the choir.
She was married to the late Demas Smith and John Henry Butler. She was preceded in death by one daughter Helen Sanders and two sisters Margaret Henderson and Lucy McNeal.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving, caring and devoted daughter Mary Ann May of Decatur, Georgia, four sons Edward Gaither (Betty) of Ellenwood, GA, Alfonzo Gaither (Trina) of Lithonia, GA, Andrew Gaither (Sandra) of Yucaipa, CA and Danny Gaither of New Llona, LA. A very special and loving grand daughter Sandra Gaither Crockett (Vinson) of Riverdale, GA, six other grand children, Andrea, Maurice, Tony, Fabain, Frederick and Leo Gaither, Jaret Lamar, nine great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Service will be held on Monday December 30,2019 at First St. Paul A.M.E Church 2687 Klondike Rd. Lithonia, Ga 30058 at 12noon. Interment will take place following service at Hillandale Memorial Gardens 6201 Hillandale Dr. Lithonia, Ga. 30058. Viewing today from 3 until 6pm.
