On Monday, January 2, 2023, Mr. James E. Dunn, loving husband and father of two children,was called home at the age of 61 in Conyers, GA. James was born on July 26, 1961, inWashington, GA to Willie James and Sallie Mae Dunn. James was preceded in death by hisfather and his brother, Joseph Dunn.
James was a 1979 graduate from Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School where hewas an outstanding star football player for four years. He was a loyal employee of UPS for 42years where he rightfully gained the name "Energizer" as his CB handle. He was a member ofthe Unique Corvette Club of Atlanta for 9 years, where he enjoyed driving his Stingray forevents and leisure.
James was a faithful member of Young's Chapel Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at anearly age and served as a trustee. He also served as the Sunday School superintendent atPeek's Chapel Baptist Church in Conyers, GA for over 10 years.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, ClaraGrant Dunn of Washington, GA, two children: James (Amber) Dunn of Covington, GA andAutumn Dunn of Rex, GA, and five grandchildren: Malacai Ratteray, Eniyah, Amaya, Jahshim,and Jahari Dunn of Covington, GA.
He also leaves behind his mother, Sallie Mae Dunn, three sisters: Gloria (Phillip) Jackson, Linda(Christopher) Gunn, and Regina Johnson, his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Grant, and a host ofaunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
