Herman Everhart's Obituary
Mr. Herman Everhart was born June 3, 1947 to the late Willie James Everhart and Roberta Everhart of Rome, Georgia. He was educated in the Floyd County public school system in Rome, Georgia. Herman was bound in holy matrimony to Essie Vera Martin on December 14, 1975. They were married faithfully for 42 years until she was called home on October 17, 2017. Herman's career started at Wilsonart International where he served as supervisor for 22 years from September 1977 - April 2000. He retired in his early fifties and started his own janitorial company which has been his passion for last 18 years. Herman and his wife Vera joined the New Saint John Baptist Church in Atlanta and later joined the Berean Christian Church in 1995. Herman had a great sense of humor and he was a fun loving man who enjoyed entertaining and having a good time. He was a man of character who always told you the truth and said what was exactly on his mind.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, James, Raymond and three sisters Susie, Mary, and Mattie Lou. He leaves to cherish in his loving memory: Two children, Erica Everhart and Herman (Cynthia) Smith; six grandchildren, Shanquana, Loni, Antwan, Maya, Keana, and Arionna; two great grandchildren, Kameron and Kai; 1 brother Sherman (Dessie) Everhart; 2 sisters, Dorothy Everhart, Jacqueline Hardaway; three sister in laws, Betty Gaither (Rev. Edward Gaither), Ruthie Martin, Henrietta Martin; one brother in law, Luther Hitchcock; a special great niece, Monica Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
