GEORGE FORBES's Obituary
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. George Forbes.
George C. Forbes, 89, of Conyers, GA, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 9, 1935, in McNeils Land, Jamaica. George lived a life full of kindness, love, and dedication to family and friends. George was known for humor & straight forwardness. He dedicated his life to family & church always striving to make a positive impact on those around him.
He is survived by his children: Sharon Samuels, Marshall Forbes, Maxine Forbes-Williams, Lance Forbes, Marlene Forbes-Francis, Travis Forbes, Tamar Forbes-Semple & Richard Forbes; his siblings, Derek Wagstaffe, Fitzroy Wagstaffe, Monica Wagstaffe, & Cynthia Williams. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren and a host other relatives & friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maureen Forbes & his son, Joseph Forbes.
A celebration of George's life will be held on February 22, 2025, at Excel Church, 1151 Flat Shoals Rd. NE, Conyers, GA 30013 at 12pm.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember him. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. George will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
