Gail Hart's Obituary
~Gail's Life Story ~
Gail Hart was born on July 23, 1950, in Far Rockaway, New York, to the late Wilbur Lee Hart, Sr., and Ethel Mae Hart. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Annie Lewis, Joan Hart, Phyllis Hart, and Wilbur Hart, as well as her beloved son, Amajallah Hart.
From a young age, Gail dedicated her life to God, and her faith remained central to everything she did. She made a "joyful noise unto the Lord" (Psalm 98:4), singing in the Junior Choir at Macedonia Baptist Church and later with the Gospel Pearls Choir. Her passion for music and ministry continued as a devoted member of the Julius Miller Cathedral Choir (JMC), where she served faithfully.
Gail attended Far Rockaway High School in Queens, NY, and later pursued a degree as a paraprofessional, setting the stage for a long and impactful career in education. She dedicated 30 years to the New York City Board of Education, focusing on special education. After relocating to Ellenwood, GA, she continued her work as a Special Education Teacher with the DeKalb County School System, touching countless young lives.
While her career was important, Gail's greatest calling was that of a mother. She lovingly raised four children of her own and extended that same boundless love to many others who were blessed to know her maternal care. Her devotion to her children, especially her beloved Kaheem Middleton-her "precious baby boy"-never wavered.
And let's be real-Gail had an open-door policy like no other. She welcomed everyone into her home. Whether you needed a couch, a floor space, or just someone to lean on, she made it work. And when you left, she made sure you had a dinner plate. But let's talk about those Sunday dinners-if you never had Gail's fried chicken, you missed a life-changing experience. People would've fought for a plate, and for good reason-it was that good!
Gail wasn't just a queen in the kitchen; she was a DIVA in life. Her style? Flawless. Head to toe, she was always sharp. If there were a red carpet for everyday living, she would have been the star. And those hats and heels? They made it clear-she was a queen from FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens!
Gail's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on forever.
