Flora Bell Cowins' Obituary
At the rising of the sun on Monday, May 17, 1937, Ms. Flora Belle Cowins was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Neimiah and Raines Cowins. She was the 6th of 9 born to this union? Flora Received her grade school and some high school education in the Warrenton county Georgia public schools system. In 1956 she and her parents moved to Atlanta and there she began working for Atlanta linen company on Glen Iris Drive. After a 4 year tenure, she and her parents relocated to Conyers, a rural area 20 miles East of Atlanta. Flora was.a loving and devoted caregiver to both her mother and father until they preceded her in death. She was a woman of faith who truly love the Lord. Though she had no children or her own, she was a loving aunt to a host of nieces and nephew's a home she watched after on number of occasions. Flora's health began to decline nine years ago which she then moved in with her sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Johnny Hillman. Her sister Ruby, was devoted and faithful in caring for her until the sunset on Monday, October 16th. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. UB Cowins, one sister, Mrs. Irene Shank, and two(2) brother-in-laws, Mr. George Shank and Mr. Harold Pruitt,p. She leaves cherished memories with four sisters, Mrs. Lois C. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hillman (Ruby), Mr. and Mrs. Brownie Rooks (Mildred) and Mrs. Sarah Pruitt; two brothers, Mr. Nathaniel Cowins (Christine) and Mr. Charles Cowins (Dollie), A host of nieces, nephews ,cousins, relatives and friends.
