Felicia DeVeaux's Obituary
Felicia Denise DeVeaux was born April 12th,1972 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was baptized at Shiloh AME Church in Charleston, SC, on October 1, 1972. She raised in Charleston along with her two siblings and numerous cousin who share unforgettable memories with her. She is a proud graduate of James Island High School in Charleston, SC, Class of 1990. Felicia continued her academic journey at South Carolina State University. In 2010, Felicia was filled with joy as she began her new chapter stepping into motherhood when she welcomed her son, Jaydin her "Mookie". Her love for her son was immeasurable and she enjoyed watching every milestone he accomplished in life. Felicia was the mother that went above and beyond for her son and who will flip the world upside down about her "Mookie". She formed an unbreakable bond with him and their bond is something they will hold on to no matter where they're at! In 2013, Felicia moved to Conyers, Ga with Jaydin. She became a member of Emmanuel Community Church, where she also was baptized on December 8th, 2013. She made her transition January 17th, 2025, at the age of 52. Though Felicia time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever be a blessing. Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Felicia leaves to carry on her memory, her son , Jaydin DeVeaux; her parents : Ellsworth DeVeaux Sr. & Joyce DeVeaux; Her siblings: Linda DeVeaux & Ellsworth DeVeaux Jr. (Kimberly); Uncles: Herbert DeVeaux (Mary) and Quentin Freeman; Aunt: Gladys James (Andrew James); nephews and nieces: Brandon, Domineek, Laila, Ellise and Aylana DeVeaux; Great-Nieces: Ma'Layshia , Dalaina and Noa DeVeaux along with a host of cousins and special friends who shared a special bond and time with her. Felicia is preceded in death by her Grandparents: Alvin and Esther DeVeaux and Joesph and Ernestine Freeman; Aunts and Uncles: Uncle Alvin Jr (Annie), Aunt Linda (James), Uncle Joesph (Vivian), Uncle Henry (Annette), Uncle Allan (Betty) and Uncle Ronnie. Felicia may no longer walk among us, but her spirit lives on in the love she gave and the lives she touched. As we gather to celebrate her, we take comfort in knowing that her light will never fade, her memories will be a guiding star, and her love will remain in our hearts. We will continue to remember her, share her stories and celebrate the joy she brought to our lives. Sleep in Peace, Felicia! You will be truly missed and never forgotten!
