Eula Belle Banks' Obituary
Eula Belle Lett-Banks, daughter of the late Henry Lee Lett and Cora Little Lett was born December 16, 1928 in Rutledge, Georgia. She began school in Morgan County and graduated from Bryant Street School in Conyers, GA. After graduating from high school, Sis, as she was affectionately known, trained as a school teacher. She later worked in the domestic field. She became a foster parent for several children.
Sis was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church where she served as secretary, usher, Sunday School teacher and licensed minister. She was the oldest member of the church.
On December 24, 1960, she married Minister Willie Clarence Banks. Together they raised two daughters and a grandson. She continued to be a foster parent.
During the early afternoon of January 6, 2020, she was called home to eternal rest. Sis was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Lee Lett and Benjamin Lett, one sister, Lena Lett.
Her memories will be cherished by her husband, Minister Willie Clarence Banks, two daughters, Carla Banks of Villa Rica, GA and Robin Camp of Conyers, GA; stepdaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Willie Mae) Wells of Roswell, GA; Godson, Joseph Lowe, two grandsons, Mr. & Mrs. Tyrell (Helen) Banks of Covington and Armand Banks of Marietta, GA; one granddaughter, Tatianna Camp; three sisters Elizabeth Lett Cornwell, Betty Lett, and Juanita Lett; devoted niece, Sally Powell; one sister in-law, Elizabeth banks Robinson, two brother inlaws, Deacon Willie B. Banks of Covington, GA and Deacon Albert Banks of Lithonia, GA. Several Foster children and foster grandchildren. Special friends mother Rebecca Hubbard and cousin Lucille Marks.
