Esmie Walters, a Godly lady was born to Norman Smith and Alwilda Brown on March 3, 1950 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. She was married to Basil Walters at the age of 17 and started a family at 18 years of age. May the 7th would have been her 50th wedding anniversary. She was a school teacher for 17 years while in Jamaica, then moved to the United States in 1985 and changed to a successful career as a nurse for 17 years, while living in Florida. she retired afterward and moved to Georgia and made Word of life Tabernacle her home church, where she attended church services faithfully up to three days before her passing. she is survived by her husband(Basil Walters), one son(Miciah Walters) two daughters (Sophia Potter and Faith Walters), one son in law Victor Potter, one daughter in law Sharrell Walters, four brothers Desmond Smith, Eustace Smith, Leon smith, and Winston Daley, four sisters Avis Thomas, Jennifer Swann, Vashti Wright and Gloria E. Walker, ten grandchildren Karen Walters, Sherika Walters, Nicholas Potter, Moishea Walters, Tariqu Potter, Jessie Walters, Micah Walters. Josiah Walters, Jania Walters, and Janna Walters and one great-granddaughter Aalayah Barrett.
