EMMA LEE JONES's Obituary
Ms. Emma L. Jones was born October 15, 1935 in Gantt, Alabama. She peacefully departed in the comfort of her family on June 5, 2024 in Covington, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Preston and Ollie Coleman. She joined Mount Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age. She graduated from Bethune High School. She later took the hand of the late Eugene Jones in marriage and move to Niagara Falls, New York where they created and raised their family.
She was a loving, sweet and God-fearing woman. She loved to travel but loved being a mother to her children more than anything. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her family and spending time with loved ones. She was very compassionate and a genuine person who was easy to talk to. She had a motherly way with every person she encountered and will be truly missed.
She leaves behind eight children, Lewis Reed of California, Sheila Jones of Niagra Falls, NY, Gloria (Robert) Alston of Niagara Falls, NY, Debra (Terry) Pressley of Niagara Falls, NY, Cynthia Jones of North Carolina, Michelle Gangloff of Maryland, Valarie (Jerome) Levett of Atlanta, Ga., Terry Jones of Niagara Falls, NY; sister, Lucille Jones, brother, Calvin Coleman; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
