Edward David Harding's Obituary
Mr. Edward David Harding passed July 23, 2016, Born to the late Edward Claudius Harding and Olive Macfoy Harding Obituary Edward was born on January 1, 1943 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to the late Edward Claudius Harding and Olive Dowu McFoy. He was the one and only boy with six sisters. He attended Model Primary School and then on to Prince of Wales Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone. After completing his secondary studies he began working at PZ as a clerk, from there he went on to work for Customs Department, where he rose to First Class Officer. He then set his sights on America, where he moved to Queens, NY in 1970. He drove a gypsy cab while attending LIU where he earned his degree in Pharmacy. Edward worked as a Pharmacist until he retired from Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He spent his retirement with his loving wife, Brigid and family. They decided on a change of scenery and moved from NY to Conyers, GA in 2007. He became an active member in the Prince of Wales Association Georgia Chapter. He was a God-loving man who enjoyed music, entertaining friends, good food and loved his family. Edward is survived by his wife, Brigid Joko Harding; two sons, Eugene Harding and Edward Harding; daughter, Yvette Harding-Mitchell; grandchildren Jaray Mitchell, Ajari Mitchell, Xavier Harding, Grace Harding; sisters Everetta Taylor, Rosaline Kargbo, Victoria Harding, Rachael Goode; niece, Lola Price; nephew, Eustace Walters; grandnephew Walter Price V; grandniece Evangeline Price. He is further survived by other nieces, nephews, and relatives including the Harding Family, McFoy Family, Wilson Family, and many friends in Sierra Leone, United Kingdom and United States. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Wilson, Sarian Harding. Funeral Details Wake and Visitation Friday, August 5, 2016 1 PM - 8 PM at George W. Levett Sr. and Sons Funeral Home, Conyers, GA. Home Going Service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11 AM at Conyers First United Methodist Church, followed by interment at East View Cemetery, Conyers, GA
