Dexter Karey Elliott's Obituary
Dexter "Dex" Elliott was born June 14, 1956 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Mary Ann Bailey and Thomas H. Loyal. He was the third of six children.
Dex joined Rock Temple A.M.E Church at an early age and loved the lord. God called him to his heavenly home on Friday, November 29, 2019.
Dex was educated in the Rockdale County School System where he played on the basketball team. He was a fan of sports. He worked at Midsouth in Lithonia, Ga for 20 plus years. He enjoyed dressing up, fashion and cars were his passion.
Dex was united in holy matrimony to the late Clem Tarver-Elliott. Both later joined Antioch Lithonia Baptist Church.
He was a sweet, considerate, & loving person. Dex leaves to cherish his never-ending memories: two sons Devon Tuggle and Karey Elliott; nine grandchildren: James, Dyamond, Daveion, Devon, My'Kareian Demarion, Desyire, Kareyun, and Dream; Sisters Mr. and Mrs. Tom Swift(Charaletta), Lois Maddox and brother John "BoBo" Elliott. He was preceded in death by sister Celestine "Crest" Bailey and brother Kermit "Stan" Elliott; Aunts: Shirley Elliott, Addie Elliott, Eardell Porter; Uncles: Elijah Simon, Calvin Elliott; a host of nephews, nieces, other close relatives, and friends.
