Denisha Lynette Carter's Obituary
Denisha Lynette Charles Carter was born to Denise Charles and Jeffery Dunbar on June 8, 1986 at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a loving, happy and playful daughter.Denisha was christened at an early age by Loretta & Author Davis (God-Parents). She grew up with her siblings, Centelle, Demarcus and Donald Ray (Newbe). She was baptized at Glory Land Baptist Church where she gave her life to Christ. She attended Melrose Elementary and Phoenix High School. Denisha joined Telfair Baptist Church and sung in the choir under Pastor Rainey's leadership. She assisted in the remodeling of the Church's Annex building. Later she moved to Lawrenceville, GA where she worked several different places.
In 2005, Denisha met the joy of her life, Kelvin Carter. In 2008,they had a beautiful baby girl named Kayden. In 2014, they were married by their pastor Apostle Kerry Pope.
Denisha knew and loved the Lord. She enjoyed singing and dancing. She was full of life and always found a way to keep you laughing even during her times of sickness. She never let her illnesses stop her from living and loving her family. She always considered herself "Blessed." She loved making people laugh and would say, "I love seeing a smile on people's faces. It makes my heart smile!"
Denisha leaves to cherish her loving memory; Devoted & Dedicated husband Kelvin Carter, her loving daughter, Kayden Carter, Roxxy Carter (beloved pet), Mary D. Charles (mom), Centelle Charles (sister), Ericka Chapman (sister), Latasha Charles (sister), Demarcus Charles (brother), Donald Ray Charles (brother), Loretta Davis (God-Mother), Gerald Sr. & Gloria Carter (father & mother-in-law), Gerald Carter Jr (brother -n-law), Deryl Carter (brother-in-law), Carlos & Kimberly Wicker (brother & sister in-law) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
God allowed Denisha to celebrate her 5th Anniversary on June 7th then on June 8th she celebrated her 33rd birthday. On the following day, Sunday June 9th at 9:30am, God called his daughter home, where there is no pain or sickness.
