Dante English Sr's Obituary
Dante’ Deandre English, Sr. was born on April 14, 1977, in Atlanta, GA to the late Albert Ellington and the late Vonda English. Early in life he accepted Christ as his personal savior and was an active member of The Way Community Church in Conyers, GA.
Dante’ was a graduate of Alonzo A. Crim High School’s Class of 1995 where he played the game he has always enjoyed and loved –“Football”. After graduation he attended and played football for South Carolina State. Since that time, he was captain of the football team and received a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College and a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.
In July 2007, Dante’ married his soulmate, Taleshia English. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be long remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, mentor, coach, leader, role model and a gentle giant with a warm smile and a generous heart. He loved God, his wife, his children, grandchildren, his family and friends. He was a health and physical education teacher, head football and head boys’ track coach at Clements Middle School. Not only was he a great educator and coach but was a mentor who supported and challenged students both in the classroom and on the field.
His legacy will live on through his family and the countless students’ lives he touched and changed. Dante’ leaves to cherish his memory, Taleshia English, his loving wife of eighteen years, daughters, KyeAira, LaNiya and Bri’Unna, son Dante’ Jr.; three grandchildren; Khloe, Karson and Hendrix; Dad, John Lowry, Mom, Deborah Lowry, Uncles Harvey English and Danny Cumberlander, In-Laws and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends whom he loved dearly.
