D'Junna Lachelle Carstarphen's Obituary
D'Junna Lachelle Carstarphen was born on August 9, 1966 to her stepdad Tommie Brooks and the late Elizabeth Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia.
She was educated in the Dekalb County public school system in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Towers High School in 1984. D'Junna furthered her education at Dekalb Tech where she received her degree in Cosmetology.
During this period in her life, she gave birth to her eldest daughter, Ashley Duffy. In 1993, D'Junna met and married Darrin Dwayne Carstarphen. In this union, three kids were born: Jasmine, Alicia, Derrick Carstarphen. They were married faithfully for 26 years until she was called home on May 18, 2020.
She was a daughter, a wife and most importantly a great mom. D'Junna had a very big heart. She always put others before herself and just wanted to make others happy. She did not hold back on expressing how she felt, and she always had a good sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister Deborah Brown. She leaves to cherish in her loving memory her siblings: Desi Harris, Demetria Ward, Holly Harris, Serena Harris, Dwayne Harris, Darlene Wyatt, Torchene Harris, Tameca Chainey, Cameca Rajkoomar; her husband Darrin D. Carstarphen; 4 children: Ashley, Jasmine, Alicia, Derrick; 2 grandchildren: Lamyia and Victoria; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
