Clardy Edna Wilson's Obituary
Clardy Edna Wilson was born on May 30, 1934 in Marvell, Arkansas, she was the 8th child of the late Willie and Fannie Scott Wilson. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Catherine Davis, Mozella Neely, Flossine Davis, Ora Dilworth, J.G. Wilson, Dave Wilson, Mendle Wilson, Willie Fred Wilson, Jr., and James Wilson.
Clardy attended M.M. Tate High School and later worked at the Marvell Middle & High School Cafeteria for 18 years. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Usher Board, Choir and an Eastern Star.
"Mama Clardy" was a kind, compassionate and God-fearing woman who truly loved her children and family. She touched the lives of so many who were blessed to be in her presence or met her. When talking to family and friends on the phone before she hung up, she would say "I love you". If you were in her presence and were leaving, maybe saying "I'll see you later or I'll see you tomorrow Clardy, she would ALWAYS say "If it's the Lord's will".
On February 4, 2021 at 12:46 a.m. the Lord called her home. Clardy leaves to cherish her memories five children: Gladys (Oscar) Towne (Vacaville, CA), DeLloyd (Jackie) Wilson, Helen Jean Wilson, Billy Ray Chunn and Arlene 'Deanne' Chunn all of Atlanta, GA.
