Charles Robert Lindsay Jr's Obituary
Charles Robert Lindsay Jr. was born June 25, 1938 in York County, South Carolina to the late Robert Lee and Margaret Eunice Lindsay. On November 24, 2020,
Charles answered The Master's Call. Charles was raised in a Christian home and after accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior, he became a member of The Boyd Friendship Baptist Church in Lake Wylie, S.C. He was a member there until he finished his education at Reid High School in Belmont, NC. and eventually settled in San Jose, Ca., then finally settling in Conyers, GA. The Holy Spirit led him to the Evangel Community Church in Snellville, GA. Charles became a faithful member and served as a greeter, because he was known to have a "gift of gab". He never met a stranger and could speak on any subject from sports to politics and never left God out of his discussions.
Charles was preceded in death by his son Vincent R. Williams. He leaves to cherish many loving memories, his devoted wife of fifty three years, Emma Louise Lindsay, a daughter, Valerie Charlene Granum of Conyers GA: two sons Charles Williams of Charlotte, NC, Jessie Vaughn Williams of Houston Tex.; three granddaughters, Chanelle Tompkins of Charlotte, NC., Autumn Williams of Charlotte, NC., Kesha Williams of Charlotte NC.; four grandsons, Cameron Granum of Conyers, GA., Vincent Williams of Charlotte, NC., Vonrique Williams of Charlotte, NC ,Noel Payne of Conyers, GA: one sister, Allene Eatman (Claude) of Conyers, GA and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services for Charles Robert Lindsay will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 12:00PM. These services will be recorded and streamed live. In the event the service is interrupted at any time due to technical issues, the entire service will be uploaded and available to view later in the day.
