Cathy Bines Echols' Obituary
Mrs. Cathy Bines Echols, 51, She transitioned peacefully on Sunday, July 16th at her home after an illness. Cathy was born August 6, 1965 in Florence, SC where she was lovingly raised by her mother, Catherine Brown Bines. She graduated from West Florence High School and continued her education at Thomas Nelson Community College, Florence-Darlington Technical College, and Mercer University. Receiving her certification in Middle Grades Education and Special Education, Cathy worked diligently to educate students in Henry, Newton and Gwinnett County School Districts. Upon her passing, Cathy worked as a Special Education Teacher alongside the amazing staff and students of Grayson High School in the Gwinnett County School District. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Ministries Church where she understood that God was the head of her life and fully accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. Cathy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael Anthony Echols, Sr.; four sons: Michael Echols, Jr., Larenzo Echols, Joshua Echols, and Matthew Echols. She truly loved her grandchildren Nyeela Grace Brown and Micah Echols. She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Bines, James Bines, Allen Bines (Lori), Greg Brown, Venessa Bines-Truitt (Clemens), Sharon Stubbs, Jackie Bines (Angela), Christy Bines, and Marie (Kelli); five sisters-in-law: Joan Cummings (John), Evonne Joseph (Ivory), Charlene Goodman, Denise Gail Brockington and Gloria Dixon. Cathy is also survived by a host of other loved ones and friends.
