Cassandra "SAN" Reid was born on January 06,1966 in Fulton County GA to the late Helen Reid and Walter Jenkins. Cassandra was one out of four girls. She attended Avondale High School in Decatur GA. San spent most of her life in Conyers, GA with the love of her life "Eljay". She worked mainly in Warehouses and Ryan Steakhouse.
Cassandra passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 57. She proceeds in death by her parents Helen Reid and Walter Jenkins; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; 2 sons Darius Reid and Eljay Thornton Jr (Shay); 1 grandson Isaiah Reid; Best friend Brendolyn Johnson. She was a very proud mother of 5 and a wonderful wife to Eljay. She loved life and valued every moment that was spent with family and close friends. She would do whatever need to be done to take care of her family. It was never a dull moment around her. Her spirit and personality shinned bright while in her presence.
San leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Eljay Thornton Sr. her son, Lesario Reid; her 2 daughters, Celisa Hernandez (Jaime) and Lashawn Thornton (DeAngelo); 4 sisters, Janice Reid, Samantha Jenkins (Rick), Constance Reid-Collins (Ray) and Lynn Bailey; 22 grandchildren; 1 great- grandchild; A special friend Barbara Branch and a host of family and friends.
Cassandra made her exit from this earthly life, only to make her GRAND entrance into the Gates of Heaven!!!
