Carolyn McCollum Fretwell's Obituary
Carolyn M. Fretwell was born on November 15, 1955 to the late Mrs. Louise McCollum Usher and the late Mr. Richard Hearn. She was educated in the Rockdale County School System. Carolyn departed this life on March 29, 2021.
In her youth, she lived with her family in Conyers. As an adult, she maintained a close relationship with her family and friends in the area as she raised her own three children. Carolyn married Mr. Donnie Fretwell of Lithonia, Georgia in 1976. She was a lifelong member of Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Conyers.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved being a part of the fun. Carolyn always had time to share a smile and a conversation filled with laughter.
Carolyn bravely faced a great deal of health issues during her lifetime. The caregivers of the Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in Conyers and the Trinity Dialysis Clinic in East Point provided levels of treatment and service that supported her for many years. Carolyn was so thankful for the excellent care she received during her convalescence.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Louise McCollum Usher and Richard Hearn, brothers Raymond Lee Usher, Harvey L. Hearn and sisters Renesse Usher and Linda Releford. She leaves many to cherish her memory: children, Felecia Fretwell, Chloe Fretwell and Ryan Fretwell; grandchildren, Juiluas Fretwell, Angelique Fretwell, Jordan Heard and Nevaeh Fretwell; siblings, Linda Usher, Fred Usher, Jr., Johnny Usher, Michele Usher, Mildred Hearn, Richard Hearn, Randy Hearn, Betty Bryant and Loretta Carter, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
