Carey Scott Washington's Obituary
Carey Scott Washington was born on June 3rd, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois at Provident Hospital to Edward and Pravella Washington. He is proceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Vince Woods and Eric Woods. Carey joined the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ at an earlier age.. He was educated in the Public-School systems before concluding his education at Columbia High School in DeKalb County Ga.
Carey was the youngest of 8 children. Carey was an adventurous little boy. His entrepreneur skills began when he was just five years old. Those entrepreneur attributes would follow him into his adulthood. Carey was an avid Skater known as Cowboy the Skate King and Smooth Dancer! Carey was known as one of the BEST Club Promoters in the Metro Area. Carey hosted weekly Lip Sync Contest and Comedy Shows. Carey was a person that was very confidence. He would meet and hangout with the likes of Bruce Bruce; JoJo of KC and JoJo and Samore to name a few. Carey build various businesses such Blackboard Advertisement, DJ on Da Nickel and his Staple Business "KJ Promotions".
He met and married the love of his life Sandra Hayes on August 20th, 1995. Carey and Sandra shared a life together for 39 years. To this union was born one daughter Keri Washington. Carey worked at Oldcastle Trucking Company. His hobbies were cooking, DJ'ing, traveling as well as photography. He continues to do the things he loved until his health began to decline.
God called Carey home to His loving Arms on April 21, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Sandra Washington, Daughters: Denate (T.J.) Whitney, Temika (Terry) Moore, and Keri (Clifford) Washington; Sisters: Demetra (Eugene) Morris, LaVeda Bennett; Brothers: Edward Washington, Lester Washington; Grandchildren: Dynasty Player, Darian Goodman, DeMarion Bright, Demitri Bright, Davion Hall, Kaseme Hurt, Khloe Moore, Caliyah White and Cannon White. Mother-in-Law Inez (Otis) Farr; Sister in Laws; Michelle Beck, Annisa (Randy) Pyron; Brother-in-Law: Horace (LaWana) Hayes; 3 Aunts: Margaret Johnson, Portia Sims and Ivy Martinez; Adopted Sisters Beverly Owens, Trudy Hooks and Yasmin Harris; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and other extended Family Members and Friends.
Celebration of Life Services for Carey Scott Washington will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1PM. These services will be recorded and streamed live.
