Beulah Mae Sawyer's Obituary
Beulah Mae Sawyer was born on December 26, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. & Mrs. William and Alice Taylor. She entered Heaven's gates on July 21, 2017. Beulah grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated for David T. Howard high school. At an early age, she married Mr. Levi Banks and from this union two children were born, Miquiel and Octavus. Beulah worked many years in the customer service field before relocating to Conyers, Georgia. On July 28, 1989, Beulah married Tommy Rufus Sawyer, Sr.. They were happily married for nearly 28 years. Beulah had an unwavering faith in God. She was an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Over the years, she had become very involved in the church and assisted with the Mother and Usher boards. In her leisure, Beulah enjoyed watching movies and talking to her family and closest friends. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mr. Octavus "Peter" Banks; siblings, Ms. Elizabeth Brown, Mr. William Taylor and Mr. Douglas Taylor. Beulah is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Tommy Sawyer, Sr.; son, Mr. Miquiel Banks; step-children, Mrs. Tiffoney (Christopher) Jackson and Mr. Tommy (CaTara) Sawyer, Jr.; her brother, Mr. Carl (Rita) Taylor; her grandsons, Tommy Sawyer, III, and Dylan Jackson; nephews, Mr. Donato Brown and Mr. Brandon James; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
