Belinda Ruth Webb-Williams' Obituary
Belinda Ruth Webb Williams, daughter, twin, sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022, surrounded by family. She was the 8th child and beautiful daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Irene Webb. "Bodge or Bodgy Wodgy," as her dad affectionately called her, made her grand entrance into the world on May 8, 1961.
Belinda, the youngest and protector of her twin sister Brenda Webb, was born and raised in Conyers, GA. She graduated in 1979 from Rockdale County High School in Conyers, GA. Belinda was baptized at Peeks Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She served as a faithful member of the Peeks Chapel Baptist Church Mass Choir. Belinda loved the Lord, enjoyed talking about God, and reading the bible. She would testify openly and freely about the goodness of Jesus and often provide scriptures of comfort to family and anyone who listened.
Like her siblings, Belinda was a student of "the school of Jake." Her dad taught her valuable lessons and life skills such as cooking, gardening, common sense, discipline, and a great work ethic. Belinda had numerous jobs throughout the years, but none were more satisfying than working for the cleaning service that she owned. Belinda liked to be in charge; she was a straight talker - all the components of being successful.
Belinda LOVED her family! And although she didn't give birth to any children, she considered her nieces and nephews her own. She was extraordinarily family-oriented and a pillar of support throughout the years. The family and others benefited from some of Belinda's hobbies, especially cooking, decorating, cleaning, and organizing. Belinda also loved shopping and walking.
Belinda, sincerely loved by many, was a wonderful daughter, a dedicated twin, and a loving sister. She leaves to cherish her memory: siblings, Shirley Saffo, Willie (Charlotte) Zanders, Sheila Jones, Anthony Webb, Brenda Webb, and Donald Webb; uncle, Albert Rakestraw, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Irene Webb; brothers, Gerald Webb and Michael Webb; and sister, Debra Webb Patterson.
