Augustus Lewis Lett, Jr.'s Obituary
Brother Augustus Lewis Lett Jr. was born November 9, 1958, in Newton County (Conyers, Ga). He was the eldest of three sons born to the late Augustus Lewis Lett Sr. and Mary Ashbey Lett. Augustus gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Bethabara Baptist Church. He later joined Springfield Baptist Church in Conyers Ga where he diligently served as a Deacon for 18 years and as a Sunday school teacher. In the summer of 2015, he visited New Bethel with member Ingred Jacobs (their 1st date). He continued to attend with Ingred. They were united in matrimony by New Bethel minister, Rev. Yvonne Wallace (10/13/2018). Augustus served under the leadership of Reverend William E. Thomas Jr., Pastor. He exemplified a kind and loving personality. He relished his opportunities to spend time with family and friends. He was always willing to lend a listening ear without judgment. He was an avid motorcycle rider and especially enjoyed deep-sea fishing. He was a high-voltage electrician for over twenty years until he retired from Northrop Grumman. Augustus was preceded in death by his father Augustus Lewis Lett Sr. Paternal grandparents; Benjamin (Maggie) Lett and his maternal grandparents: Clifford (Lily) Ashbey. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving devoted spouse Ingred Jacobs-Lett; sons: Augustus Lewis Lett III, and Prince McKnight Lett, daughter Amber (Tabarrius) Lett-Hammond; Donald (Kisha) Berger, Lauren Rawls (Dedrick Bynum); Eight grandchildren: Amaiyah Lett, Chloe Hammond, Blake Berger, James Rawls III, Braelyn Berger, Jacobs Rawls, Gabrielle Rawls, and Lennox Bynum; nieces and nephews: Tavosky Lett, Tj Lett, Jermell Weaver, Brynton Lett, Jeremy Lett, Chester Lett, and Morgan Lett.
