Arthur William Colley's Obituary
Mr. Arthur William Colley was born February 11, 1947 in Lithonia, Ga to the late Henry Colley and Belle Smith Colley. On July 28, 2017 Arthur took God's hand and left his earthly body and began his eternity with our heavenly father. Arthur William married the late Bennie Grace Presley at an early age and to this union three beautiful children were born. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Colley Zanders and Gladys Saffo. Arthur was a dedicated employee at General Motors until his retirement. He loved all sport - Football, Basketball and bowling were his favorites, The Atlanta Falcon was his team! He enjoyed spending time with family and he loved his grand kids, Superbowl party and his last birthday were some of his favorite times with the family. Arthur had a very strong will to live and he fought a Gallant fight all the way to the end. On July 27, 2017 he was moved to Mesun Home Hospice where he remained until the Lord called him home. Although Arthur has passed from this life his legacy lives on through his family and loved ones. He is survived by his children: Tanya Renise Dardy (Lesley), Roderick O'Neal (Cheri) and Chameron Lanoris (Cori). eight grandchildren: Derrick, Brianna, Aaliyah, Xzavier, O'Neal, Tyler, Amiya and Lilliana. three greatchildren: Autumn, Eva and Syndey, He also leaves behind his siblings Jean Kirkland, Gracie Gaines, James Colley, Ruth Bailey, Joyce Smith, Thomas Colley and Mary Colley, a special friend Alberta Riddick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
